Prompt: “Describe something you wanted badly and, once you got it, never used.”
It was an art set, one of those ones that came in an attractive box with a built-in easel. It had all sorts of different art supplies, all in their own drawers. It had pencils of all different grades, colouring pencils, acrylic paints, watercolours.
I was so excited to get it and was looking forward to experimenting with all the different things. Unfortunately, I had no clue how to use all the different paints, got slightly overwhelmed and ended up never actually using any of them.
I think I still have that art box somewhere, and maybe when I move into my new house I can unearth it. I’ll actually have the room to have a space dedicated for doing art and craft things. It’d definitely be worthwhile, I’ve always loved doing creative things and it seems a shame to let a perfectly good art set go to waste.
