10 Reasons Why I Love You

1. You’re Funny

   
   In fact you’re not just funny, you’re pretty damn hilarious. I know it’s kind of cliche to say that you love someone for their sense of humour, but I reckon so many people say it because of how important it is. Your sense of humour matches mine so well and I feel that we can always make each other laugh.

2. You’re Kind

   
   Possibly the second most cliche reason after being funny, but again it’s both important and true. You like to look for the good in people and you always encourage people to be their best. You’ve always seen the best in me and made me want to meet those expectations.

3. You Don’t Suffer Fools

   
   You may be kind, but that doesn’t mean you let people take advantage of you. You have no patience for people who act in unacceptable ways, and you’re not afraid to call people out.

4. Your Sass

   
   And the fact that you appreciate mine. We’ve always traded little barbs with each other, battles of wit and sassy comments, always trying to outdo each other and always in jest. I love that you can keep up and match me toe to toe. And when we team up against other people? Well we’re a force to be reckoned with

5. You’re A Major Nerd

   
   I mean we’re both major nerds, so I’d say that worked out pretty well. I love that we’re nerds about similar things. How we both get excited over dinosaurs, or space, or dinosaurs in space. I love that even when we don’t share the same passions we can still appreciate each other’s enjoyment in it.

6. You’re Smart

   
   And I know you don’t always believe it, but you are. It also goes with the whole nerd thing. I love how passionate you get about the topics that interest you. The fact that you spend hours watching documentaries trying to learn more and more. That you can explain so many of the hows and whys behind so many different things.

7. That Look You Give Me

   
   You know the one I mean. The one you give me whenever I go off on a tangent explaining about something, usually bird related, or when I’m talking about trying to save the planet. It’s that look that says “I am so in love with you and I really want to kiss you right now.”

8. Those Dimples

   
   Which you kind of hate, but I adore. In fact I think they’re one of my favourite things about you. I love trying to make you smile, just so I can see your dimples when your face splits in to a proper grin.

9. Your Eyes

   
   You say they’re boring, just one colour, but I think they’re beautiful. They’re so expressive and so full of light and life. I know whenever you’ve had one of your slightly wild ideas just by the way your eyes light up, and I adore it.

10. You’re My Partner In Crime

    
    You have been since day one, and I hope you continue to be for a long time yet to come. We have each other’s back and if there’s a little chaos to be had then we’re in it together. You’re the only person I’ve ever wanted to travel the world and I hope that you’ll be there with me every step of the way.
